Katherine Hart

Katherine Hart Katherine graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2011 with a B.Mus Hons degree.  She also completed a masters degree in 2012 at the Royal College of Music, where she was an RCM scholar, supported by the Arthur Wilson trombone award and the Henry Wood trust. At the RCM she studied trombone with Lindsay Shilling and Byron Fulcher; at the Guildhall, she studied with Peter Gane.   Since graduating, Katherine has performed with the Philharmonia Brass Quintet and South Bank Sinfonia, as well as the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and the London Jazz Orchestra.  She regularly performs throughout the UK and also with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra where she has performed with artists such as Tasmin Little and Lesley Garrett.   Besides performing, Katherine is a well established music teacher holding the position of Head of Music at St Mary’s School, and also teaches brass in two other East London schools.
