Ann Wight (Course Director)
Ann Wight is the Course Director and will be happy to answer any queries you have: you can email her at ann@brass-academy.co.uk or call her on 07919 123231.A pianist and cellist, Ann read music at Durham University before settling on a career in the law. She has worked as a property lawyer for most of the past twenty years, and is teased and admired in equal quantities by her friends for her eagerness and skill for organising all manner of events, large and small.
Her three children all play brass instruments, and thanks in no small part to the excellent teaching they have received from Tom Rainer, they were all awarded music scholarships or exhibitions on entry to their senior school. Hers is a noisy household!
She is married to Jim, who is tone deaf but an invaluable help in all other aspects of our courses, in particular where spreadsheets and other computer or technical issues are concerned. She still has a keen interest in music, and sings in a choir and attends concerts when she can.
